I gave it to my 8 year old granddaughter for her birthday. She started reading it and couldn't put it down!!!
This is a delightful book for the whole family. It's the perfect blend of wit and substance and is relatable in so many ways. Your whole family will enjoy this gem, from the kids to the adults!
This book is delightful. It is warm, funny and uplifting. I started "screening" this book for my 9 year old son, but found myself loving the journey I took with going-on-13-years-old Mars. There is lovely depth to his character, and it is made even more special given that it's conceived by two 12 year old authors. There is no character more authentic than this. Do the kids nearest you a favor -- inspire them through The View From Mars!
The View From Mars is a touching story, lovingly told. The writing is engaging and the illustrations are perfectly charming. It made me laugh and tugged at my heart, and I am very glad to have read it. How very cool that it was written by a family!
I keep having to pick up my jaw off the floor from this ridiculously funny and witty book. There's also a redemptive part of the story that unfolds.I'm so impressed with these young authors and illustrators. I can't say enough about this amazing book. Must read for all ages.
What a great book to read as a kid or even as an adult. All the thoughts and feels we had as a 13 year old are so well described. I found myself laughing out loud, remembering so many of the same situations and fears I had as a young teenager. As a Mom of grown children I can look back and see myself in so many of the same conversations with my kids. Enjoy, grab a copy for yourself, and buy a few extras for those you love.
